How Laboratory Testing Works at ALMS
Simple, Convenient Process
Getting lab work done at ALMS is easy:
Order: Your provider orders necessary tests during your appointment (or you can schedule a lab-only visit)
Collection: Our trained phlebotomist draws your blood or collects other specimens
Processing: Samples are processed in our on-site lab or sent to reference labs
Results: Most results available within 24-48 hours (many same-day)
Review: Your provider reviews results and contacts you with findings and next steps

For routine monitoring labs, you can often schedule a quick "blood draw only" appointment, get your labs done in 10-15 minutes and leave. Your provider will contact you when results are ready.
Fasting vs. Non-Fasting Tests
Some lab tests require fasting (no food or drink except water for 8-12 hours before testing):

Meet Our Laboratory Team
Jean-François Touré
Laboratory Coordinator
Jean-François Touré serves as Laboratory Coordinator for ALMS Community Health Center, helping oversee laboratory operations, testing processes, quality standards and regulatory compliance. With more than a decade of laboratory experience, he brings extensive expertise in molecular diagnostics, genetics, cytogenetics, toxicology and advanced laboratory technologies.
​
Mr. Touré has worked extensively with next-generation sequencing (NGS), chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA), molecular testing platforms, toxicology instrumentation, laboratory validation, quality assurance, quality control and laboratory operations. His experience includes the validation, implementation and operation of advanced diagnostic systems used in genetics, molecular diagnostics and specialty laboratory environments.

In addition to his clinical laboratory experience, Mr. Touré currently serves as a Laboratory Development and Compliance Consultant, supporting genetics, molecular diagnostics and specialty laboratories throughout the United States. His work includes laboratory planning, CLIA readiness, laboratory compliance, quality systems development, inspection preparation and operational implementation.

Mr. Touré earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Kennesaw State University and remains committed to maintaining high standards of laboratory quality, accuracy and patient-centered diagnostic services.
